Our Objectives

A goal is a broad, long-term, desirable outcome, while an objective is a specific, measurable, short-term, action-oriented step taken to achieve that goalGoals provide vision and direction, like the final destination of a journey, whereas objectives are the concrete steps and milestones along the way that can be tracked and measured.
Key Differences
  • Scope:
Goals are broad and far-reaching, while objectives are narrow and specific.
  • Time Frame:
Goals are generally long-term, whereas objectives are short-term.
  • Measurability:
Goals can be intangible and difficult to measure, but objectives are concrete and quantifiable.
  • Focus:
Goals focus on what you want to achieve; objectives focus on how you will achieve it.
Example
  • Goal: To be financially secure.
  • Objective: To earn a salary of $50,000 by the end of the year.
Why Both Are Important
  • Goals provide purpose: They set the overall direction and vision for what you want to accomplish.
  • Objectives provide a path: They break down the larger goal into manageable, actionable steps, making progress visible and trackable.
In essence, you set a goal and then establish objectives as the steps you will take to reach that goal.
